This divergent thinking exercise will work best if you have a paper cup on hand that you can play with and bend and fold. If you don’t, that’s fine, too. It will just be a little more difficult.
Spend a few minutes and think of what you could do with a paper cup. How could you use it?
The ways you use it don’t have to be practical. Just sit down, set an alarm for three minutes and come up with all of the uses you can think of. Give your brain a minute break and set the alarm for another minute. Did anything new come to mind?
Once you’re done, watch this video of what a group of kids did with paper cups (if you’re at work or school, you may want to turn the volume off/down since it’s loud).
