How to Organize Your Own Blog Tour

Please welcome Annamaria Bazzi to Random today.

First of all – Eat right and exercise before you start your tour campaign.

I find that exercising regularly and eating a healthy diet with little to no carbs and sugars energizes me and makes me think clearer. And yes, it looks good when I step on the scale too.

I never thought a protein shake in the morning could keep me full until lunch. With 4 oz. of protein and a 4 vegetable salad for lunch I only crave a few carrots in the late afternoon. Dinner also comprises of 4 oz. of protein and a good selection of vegetables with a healthy snack in the evening.

And I exercise every day.

With this regime I found I think much clearer and am able to sketch out what I believe to be a solid marketing plan for Incantation Paradox.

The last week of March I ran a week long cover reveal for the book with about 19 bloggers posting on different days.

On my website Kendíka introduced Dolores, the main character of Incantation Paradox.

Once this activity was over, I started soliciting bloggers to host the blog tour I would be scheduling. You could do the same with your book. Here’s how.

How to Create a Blog Tour

Make an excel spreadsheet to track the following:

1. Date solicited

2. Response

3. Second reminder

4. Sent emails to all the bloggers on the list and posted the date I solicited them

5. After a few days I checked the spreadsheet to see who had not responded and sent a second email, recording the date under the second reminder cell in the spreadsheet.

6. Once I received all the responses I turned to Google

7. Using Google drive, I created a form containing:

A) First name

B) Last name

C) Website

D) Type of post preferred (a drop down list with post choices)

E) First choice to host (a drop down list with all the tour dates)

F) Second choice to host (a drop down list with all the tour dates)

G) Third choice to host (a drop down list with all the tour dates)

H) Emailed the form to all hosted bloggers

I) Compiled the information into a spreadsheet

J) Wrote the various types of posts the hosts requested

K) Created a widget containing the tour schedules, which I sent to all the hosts.

L)  Saved time to enjoy the tour

Have you launched your own blog tour or did someone do it for you?

Book Blurb:

Magic is an illusion. It doesn’t really exist. Or does it?
A horrible car accident destroys Dolores Reynard’s life. But instead of waking up in a hospital bed, she awakens in a teenager’s body. Soon, she discovers she is at the heart of the murderous mystery surrounding the death of Mona, the young girl whose body she occupies. Caught between an evil greater than she ever imagined and a wizard who heals her tattered heart, she is forced to play a dangerous game of intrigue in the hopes of finding a way to return to her previous life.
Will magic be her ally, or will it lead to her demise once and for all.

Although born in the United States, Annamaria Bazzi spent a great deal of her childhood in Sicily, Italy, in a town called Sciacca. Italian was the language spoken at home. Therefore, she had no problems when she found herself growing up in a strange country. Upon returning to the states, she promised herself she would speak without an accent. She attended Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Computers with a minor in Spanish.

Annamaria spent twenty years programming systems for large corporations, creating innovative solutions, and addressing customer problems. During those years, she raised four daughters and one husband. Annamaria lives in Richmond Virginia with her small family where she now dedicates a good part of her day writing.
